Peseky Girl

Peszeki Girl is a local grape variety, it can only be found in vineyards from Levice to Veľký Krtíš. Its characteristic is that it maintains a very good acid reserve, thanks to the cold nights in the northern wine region, a magical lavender and summer peach fruitiness develops in the grapes at full ripening, which dominates both the aroma and the sip. We always hold back a little sugar from fermentation in the wine, which is harmonized by the mineral salty notes in addition to the fiery acids. We especially recommend it for couples’ evenings together, because it is not too sweet for the man and not too dry for the lady.

The birth of Peseky Girl
Peseky Girl was bred in 1957 in Veľký Pesek near the town of Levice, which is why it became a local variety, as it was only planted from Levice to Veľký Krtíš. The cross was born from the Feteasca Regala and the Musca of Moravia, meaning that it inherited a lot of good qualities from the two parents. Thanks to Feteasca Regala, it maintains a very nice acid reserve and perfectly reflects the volcanic terroir through its richness of mineral flavor. Musca of Moravia is responsible for the expressive lavender and apricot fruity character, which charms every consumer on first impression. At the same time as the Green Veltliner plantation, my grandfather planted it with his father in the 60s. For us, this is a family heritage, which we consider to be one of the gems of the Hont region, which we want to pass on so that it can sweep you off your feet for a long time.

We are growing the grape on the territory of the historic Hont county, which trademark ensures that the product is made only from grapes grown in the Hont county. We further tightened this regulation for ourselves, according to which we only work with grapes harvested from Vinica. This guarantees that you will get the best from the treasure of Hont county, from Vinica.
