The power of old vines

For us, an old plantation on Guard Mountain is of inestimable value. The vine has already grown its root system to a depth of 18 meters, which penetrates the cracks of the rock layers and has access to the sources of the spring water in the mountain. But for the best harvest, the grapes have to suffer, when at the beginning of August, the grapes have already grown the berries to the right size and are entering the phase of fruit ripening, the dryness is essential. In this way, the vine is forced to feed on the mineral-rich waters of the rocks, the sugar produced during photosynthesis is transported from the leaf to the berry with this water, so in addition to collecting sugar, the concentration of mineral flavor notes also increases. We get this terroir flavor in the wines if only 3-4 grapes are left per vine. We bring the notes of the concentrated fruitiness of the grapes and the added value of the subsoil to your glass in the light of harmony in the gentlest way possible.

We further tightened this regulation for ourselves, according to which we only work with grapes harvested from Vinica. This guarantees that you will get the best from the treasure of Hont county, from Vinica.
