VULCANO Chardonnay promises to pour into our glass the unmatched character of a unique vintage. To make the wine, we chose first-fill barrels, the raw material of which wood was dried for 3 years by the cooper, which was selected for us from the Börzsöny Mountain from oak grown on volcanic subsoil that is more than 100 years old. In the first year, these barrels brought such a complexity of taste, released the energy resulting from all the trials of 100 years, which carries within itself the taste of a dormant volcano and behind it the elegance of the battonage process in the fine finesse. A worthy choice for the top wine of any evening, which will take you to a completely different level of life.

The power of VULCANO Chardonnay

During the birth of VULCANO Chardonnay, we discussed a lot with László Bálint, our consultant, we tasted barrel after barrel, and we couldn’t ignore the feeling that after 9 months of ageing, our wines aged in Kádár Hungary barrels selected from volcanic soil had reached a high level of complexity, cavalcade of flavors and maddening finesse. We felt that we were part of an unrepeatable miracle, which we had to let go and highlight at the top of our portfolio. Aging in the bottle is an important part of the wine’s life, during its 10-15-year life, it matures in humble silence and in the setting darkness. Certainly, the 40-year-old vines, the careful selection, the delicate processing with the help of gravity, the small mosaics of the spontaneous fermentation and the battonage process laid the foundation for the character of VULCANO Chardonnay, which is destined for many things in the years to come.

We further tightened this regulation for ourselves, according to which we only work with grapes harvested from Vinica. This guarantees that you will get the best from the treasure of Hont county, from Vinica.
