Chardonnay
2025

Many of us only know Chardonnay as made with the Battonage method, but Chardonnay can also be made in a fresher, round, citrus-fruit style. You could say that Chardonnay is like the Jolly Joker in the card game, it grows everywhere and everywhere it represents a style that represents the region and the climate in its own way, so you could say it has 1000 faces. In Vinica brings a unique citrus-fruit character, pampering us with a little delicate, soft, round fullness. A wine that caresses you.

The connection between wine and fossils

The soil composition of Vinica is strongly determined by the sediment of the Pannonian Sea, which is a deposit rich in 200 million-year-old fossils and shells. The first 3-8 meter layer of the soil layer is marine sediment, which has an above-average limestone content. The grapevine roots into the marine sediment, then penetrates it to reach the volcanic layers. The root system then sends out lateral roots every meter, which ensures that it can absorb important trace elements from each soil layer with the help of water. Thus, limestone is also a determining factor that affects the acidity of the grape and the development of its flavor notes. In the case of Chardonnay, the grapes in full ripening already have exotic fruity notes, which are paired with an elegant acidity that elegantly holds and supports the citrus flavor. The heritage of the Pannonian Sea is present in every sip of wine, enjoy the unique character of Vinica.

Junibor - Association of young winemakers

It was founded with the aim of creating a community that ensures the professional development of the future generation of winemakers. The most important thing for us is to help each other and thus make better and better wines that are loved by consumers. In addition to our own learning and further development, it is not a secret that we also want to be able to appeal to our own generation in the matter of cultured wine consumption and wine culture, so we put a lot of emphasis on maintaining contact with young wine drinkers.

HONT - Regional product

We are growing the grape on the territory of the historic Hont county, which trademark ensures that the product is made only from grapes grown in the Hont county. We further tightened this regulation for ourselves, according to which we only work with grapes harvested from Vinica. This guarantees that you will get the best from the treasure of Hont county, from Vinica.
